Every day the Moo Booth and Milking Parlor feature regular demonstrations and activities throughout the day.

Moo Booth

1)             Moo Booth

Great displays and activities throughout the booth, including: the Moo-lette Wheel: Expert Cowhand Quizzes; Cow Tattoos; Moo Booth CSI

Hand milking twice a day at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. outside on the LAND O LAKES Stage at the Moo Booth (outside northwest corner of cattle barn).

Milking Parlor Demonstrations

1)             Milking Demonstrations see the latest in dairy technology in action!

2)             LAND O LAKES stage at the Moo Booth (Outside the northwest end of the cattle barn)

 3)            10 a.m., 12 noon, 2 p.m., 4 p.m., 6 p.m. (no 2 p.m. show on Thursday, September 2  and  no 6 p.m. show on Labor Day, September 6, 2010)

4)             August 26 through September 6, 2010

5)             Narrated demonstrations of dairy cows being milked - find out how cows are milked, how cows produce milk and many other fun facts about cows and the dairy industry. During our demonstration milkings we will also hold various contests and we also sometimes feature special guests, such as Princess Kay of the Milky Way, and product promotions at other times, During 10 a.m. demonstration milking every day there will be a butter carving event.

* Every Day at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. the Moo Booth and Milking Parlor offer hand milking for fair visitors to participate in, (This is very popular, please include in promotional materials wherever possible) outside on the LAND O LAKES Stage at the Moo Booth  (outside northwest corner of cattle barn).

  

 Talk to the Animals Show

"Talk to the Animals" Show featuring our very own State Fair Dr. Doolittles giving you the inside scoop on a variety of animals featured at each "Show", cows, pigs, sheep and more - Oh My!  Prizes will be awarded for audience participation during the show  

2)             LAND O LAKES stage at the Moo Booth (Outside the northwest end of the cattle barn)

3)             Show begins at 12:20 p.m. following the 12 noon demonstration milkings.

4)             August 27, 28, 29,  and September  3,4, and 5

5)             Show for all ages, prizes for audience participation. Following the show the audience may meet the animals and their Dr. Doolittle.

4-H Demonstrations

4-H demonstrations will be held on the LAND O LAKES stage at the Moo Booth August 26, 27, 28 & 29 when the stage is not in use for milking demonstrations, hand-milking or special events.

5) Milk mustache contest open to the general public. All ages, three categories (0-9 years of age, 10-15 years of age and 16 and above). Prizes for the best mustaches. All participants receive a token prize for participation. Sign-up for the contest between 2-2:30 p.m.

1) Butter Carve-O-Rama (6th Annual Butter Carving Contest for the General Public) presented by Land O Lakes, Inc.
